Pakistan’s security forces have successfully killed 10 India‑sponsored terrorists during a targeted counter-terrorism operation in Zhob district Balochistan the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced Thursday. The operation comes as part of the military’s ongoing efforts under Azm‑e-Istehkam to eliminate threats from foreign backed militant groups targeting Pakistan’s stability. According to ISPR the slain militants were linked to the Indian proxy group Fitna al Khwarij and were actively involved in terrorist activities across the region including attacks on security forces and local populations.
The operation was conducted in a phased manner following actionable intelligence that enabled troops to track and engage militants along multiple routes. The exchange of fire led to the elimination of 10 terrorists with security forces also recovering weapons ammunition and explosive materials ensuring these dangerous elements could no longer threaten the area. ISPR emphasized that the military’s commitment to protecting citizens and safeguarding national security remains unwavering with ongoing sanitisation operations to remove all remaining militant threats in the region.
Officials highlighted that these operations are not only a response to local militancy but also part of a broader effort to counter foreign interference in Pakistan’s internal security. The military reaffirmed that any attempt to destabilize Pakistan through cross-border sponsorship of terrorism will be met with decisive action demonstrating Islamabad’s determination to maintain peace and stability along its frontiers.
