Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has called for turning Pakistan into a strong economic power recalling what he described as a decisive national moment during tensions with India earlier this year. Speaking at a policy briefing Dar said Pakistan must now channel its confidence and unity toward economic revival and long term stability.
He stressed that strengthening the economy is the government’s top priority pointing to improved fiscal discipline rising investor confidence and renewed engagement with global partners. Dar said Pakistan’s diplomatic standing has improved and that international stakeholders are once again engaging positively with Islamabad.
Highlighting recent high level visits and agreements Dar noted growing cooperation with Gulf countries and China particularly in trade energy and investment. He said these partnerships are critical to boosting exports stabilizing the currency and creating jobs.
Referring to regional challenges Dar said Pakistan seeks peace but will continue to protect its national interests. He urged institutions businesses and citizens to work together to build a resilient self-reliant economy.
