The Pakistan Navy held the curtain raiser for the Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference 2025 at the Karachi Expo Centre on 1st November, providing a detailed overview of the upcoming 4 day event designed to boost investment & cooperation in the country’s maritime sector.
Addressing the media, Commander Karachi, Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi, highlighted the strategic importance of the event in advancing Pakistan’s Blue Economy roadmap.
He announced that the second edition of PIMEC is scheduled to take place from 3rd to 6th November & will host participants from across the globe.
Vice Admiral Abbasi revealed that 178 exhibitors, including 28 international firms & 150 local organisations, will display their products & services at the exhibition.
Additionally, 133 international delegations from 44 countries, such as the United Kingdom, Italy, Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Egypt & China have confirmed their attendance.
The event will also feature dedicated pavilions by the governments of Sindh & Balochistan to showcase regional investment potential & opportunities in maritime & coastal sectors.
The Pakistan Navy emphasised the critical role of media in fostering maritime awareness & expressed confidence in their continued support for PIMEC 2025.
The event will host a wide range of activities, including business to business & business to government meetings, signing of MOUs & multiple media engagements, creating a platform for collaboration between foreign delegates, government officials & industry stakeholders in sectors such as ports, shipping, fisheries & coastal development.
