Elon Musk has unleashed a devastating attack against Joe Biden over the president’s bungled handling of the US migrant crisis.

The outburst came after the multi-billionaire’s visit to Eagle Pass in which he vowed to find out “what’s really going on” at the US border.

Eagle Pass is already at “breaking point” according to the mayor of nearby El Paso after the town saw as many as 8,000 new arrivals in just one week.

During his visit to the border, Musk, 52, said the massive influx of migrants being sent on buses across the country was causing sanctuary cities like New York to “buckle”.

His social media outburst was in reaction to another post, criticising New York governor Kathy Hochul’s U-turn over the crisis, encouraging migrants just two years ago to come to her city but now telling them to stay away.

In a recent interview with CNN, Hochul said: “We have to let the word out that when you come to New York, you’re not going to have more hotel rooms.

“We don’t have capacity. So we also have to message properly that we’re at our limit.

“If you’re going to leave your country, the smarter thing is to apply for asylum before you leave your country.”

Writing on his own social media platform, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO warned that the crisis was specific to the Biden administration.

“If New York is already buckling under the load and has run out of room, what will the situation be like a year from now?” Musk asked.

“The open border policy started under Biden two years ago.

“That policy was not in place under Obama, and Gov Hochul is Democrat not Republican, so this is not some D vs R political battle – it is specific to the current administration.”

During his trip to the border, Musk spoke to Texas congressman Tony Gonzales who claimed the southern border feels “abandoned” by the current government.

He told Musk: “I really appreciate Elon coming down and giving an unfiltered depiction of what’s happening on the border.”

“We feel very abandoned. And there’s some solutions.

“A big part of this is being able to share stories that no one hears about.”
