Meghan Markle's university classmate has shared a throwback
photo of the Duchess of Sussex learning to dance.
The duchess's former classmate, Iris Amador, shared a
throwback photo to Instagram of Meghan, herself, and three other people at a
Salsa class at Northwestern University.
Meghan graduated from the school with a double major in
theatre and international studies in 2003.
The former Suits actress is pictured wearing a black
turtleneck jumper and dark wash jeans, with her hair pulled back into a low
ponytail.
Amador captioned the post: "Salsa lessons with the then
future-to-be #DuchessOfSussex, in college.
"#HarryAndMeghanInColombia #MeghanMarkle #SalsaLessons
@northwesternu many years ago!"
One royal fan commented underneath: "So beautiful!
Thanks for sharing this photo and the background story. Meghan taking salsa
classes wow. Can’t wait to see them in Cali."
Another wrote: "Thank you for sharing this! Finally
getting to see Meghan salsa dancing was everything! It’s so uplifting to see
those lessons paying off so beautifully!"
Meghan showed off her salsa skills during her recent visit
to Colombia with Prince Harry.
After attending several activities aligned with their
nonprofit Archewell Foundation, including making school visits and hosting an
Invictus Games training session, they got to immerse themselves in Colombian
culture through dance.
A video captured the royal couple salsa-dancing in the
historic city of Cartagena.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex enjoyed the music before
sharing a sweet kiss.
