Rail passengers travelling along the East Coast Main Line have been warned to expect disruption due to a shortage of train crew, with at least 16 services cancelled.
London North Eastern Railway (LNER) said cancelled trains included various services travelling between Edinburgh and London, passing through stations including Newcastle, Darlington, Durham and York.
Several other LNER connections were expected to be delayed or have their route altered.
Disruptions are also affecting passengers elsewhere in the country, travelling on Chiltern Railway and Great Western Railway.
Ticket swap
Some LNER services on the Edinburgh to London Kings Cross line were expected to be delayed by more than four hours.
Several trains along the route will also start or end at Newcastle instead of Edinburgh.
The company said affected customers could use their tickets on the next available services.
Earlier this week the East Coast Main Line said passengers expecting to travel on the evening of the England vs Spain Euro 2024 final could change their journeys to avoid missing the match.
Anyone expecting to travel after 18:00 BST on Sunday can swap their ticket to the next day.
