A circus performer has been taken to hospital after falling from a height during a show in Norfolk, watched by an audience of adults and children.
The acrobat, aged in his 20s, fell while riding the "giant wheel of death" apparatus at the Hippodrome Circus in Great Yarmouth on Wednesday evening.
A video seen by the BBC appears to show him fall at least 10m (33ft).
The circus manager said he was not sure what the nature of his injuries were but understood it to be broken bones.
Jack Jay, who is also the circus ringmaster, said: "He was fully conscious after the fall and two members of the audience, believed to be an off-duty police officer and a paramedic, came forward to help."
Explaining how he might have fallen, Mr Jay said: "It looked like mistiming. He went to jump through one of the wheels and slipped, landing on the floor."
The show was stopped immediately and the police and ambulance service were called, Mr Jay said.
He added that health and safety officials were notified and were expected to investigate the fall and the apparatus at the purpose-built circus.
The acrobat's partner in the act was his brother, who accompanied him to James Paget University Hospital along with circus staff.
Norfolk Constabulary and the East of England Ambulance Service were contacted for comment.
