Security forces in Pakistan’s Balochistan province have foiled an attempted terrorist attack in Gwadar, with authorities identifying the militants as members of the group referred to as Fitna al-Hindustan. According to security sources, the attackers attempted to target an unoccupied construction company camp.

During the operation, security forces killed three militants and surrounded additional suspects at the location. In a separate development, another security operation was launched at a hotel near the Gwadar Highway following reports of a second attempted attack. Four suspected militants were reportedly surrounded as the operation continued.

The latest incidents have heightened security concerns in the strategic coastal district, which plays an important role in Pakistan’s infrastructure, trade and development projects.

Authorities have not released the identities of the militants involved, and the available reports do not establish that the latest incidents involved a suicide bombing or a suicide attacker. Therefore, the incidents are being described as attempted terrorist attacks rather than confirmed suicide attacks.

Security personnel continue efforts to contain the threat and restore security at the affected locations. Further details about the operations, potential casualties and the final outcome are awaited.
