You can then complete the Federal Post Card Application, known as the FPCA, to register and request your absentee ballot. Submit the form according to your state’s instructions and wait for your ballot from your local election office.
When your ballot arrives, carefully follow every instruction. Complete your selections, sign and date the required sections, and make sure you use the correct envelope or return method specified by your state.
If your official ballot does not arrive in time, you may be able to use the Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot, or FWAB, as a backup.
From Pakistan, U.S. embassies and consulates can provide voting information and may help with mailing election materials, although they cannot accept ballots for you or provide in-person voting.
Finally, check your state’s deadline and ballot-status information through the Federal Voting Assistance Program.
