Firefighters are battling a major warehouse blaze near Kyiv after a large-scale Russian missile and drone attack triggered fires across the Ukrainian capital and surrounding region.

The overnight barrage struck multiple locations, damaging residential buildings, industrial sites, vehicles and other civilian infrastructure. Emergency crews were deployed across the city as firefighters worked to contain several major blazes.

Ukrainian authorities said the strikes caused civilian casualties, while rescue teams continued searching damaged areas and helping residents affected by the attacks.

The warehouse fire near Kyiv became one of the most visible scenes from the latest assault, with thick smoke rising as crews worked to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby facilities.

Ukraine’s air-defence systems intercepted part of the incoming barrage, but officials say several missiles and drones still reached populated areas.

The latest attack comes as Russia continues to intensify its long-range aerial campaign against Ukraine.

Kyiv is again appealing to Western allies for additional air-defence systems, warning that stronger protection is urgently needed to defend cities and critical infrastructure.

With diplomatic efforts still failing to produce a breakthrough, the latest barrage highlights the continuing escalation—and the growing danger faced by civilians across Ukraine.
