Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has described the Makkah Accord as a matter of pride for the Muslim Ummah, calling the agreement an important development for cooperation among Muslim countries.

Speaking on August 9, Tarar said the accord reflected the strength of relations between Pakistan and its regional partners, while highlighting the importance of closer coordination on issues of mutual interest.

The agreement comes as Pakistan continues to deepen its engagement with Saudi Arabia and other countries in the region.

Tarar said Pakistan views stronger ties among Muslim nations as an important part of its foreign policy, with a focus on regional stability, dialogue and cooperation.

He also emphasized the significance of the agreement for Pakistan, describing it as a development that demonstrates Islamabad’s diplomatic engagement and its commitment to working with regional partners.

The remarks come amid broader efforts by Pakistan to strengthen political and strategic relationships across the region.

For Islamabad, the accord represents an opportunity to reinforce partnerships while advancing its wider diplomatic priorities.

Tarar said Pakistan would continue to support initiatives aimed at promoting cooperation, stability and closer relations among Muslim countries.

The longer-term impact of the accord, however, will depend on how the commitments are implemented and translated into practical cooperation between the countries involved.
