Pakistan's Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, has held a series of high-level meetings with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and senior Turkish military leaders during an official visit to Ankara.
According to Pakistan's military, the discussions focused on regional security, evolving geopolitical developments, and ways to further strengthen the longstanding strategic partnership between Pakistan and Türkiye.
Field Marshal Munir also met Turkish Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler and Chief of the General Staff General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, where both sides reviewed defence cooperation, military collaboration, and professional matters of mutual interest.
Officials said the engagements reflected the close and historic relationship between the two countries, with both leaders reaffirming their commitment to expanding cooperation in defence, security, and regional stability.
The visit comes as Pakistan and Türkiye continue enhancing military ties through regular exchanges, joint training programmes, and defence collaboration.
