Pakistan's security forces say a major counterterrorism operation in Balochistan has resulted in the deaths of more than 100 militants since the launch of Operation Shaban earlier this month.
The operation was initiated following a deadly attack on the Mangi Dam Police Station in Ziarat, where nine police officers were killed in an assault that shocked the province and prompted a large-scale security response.
According to security sources, the operation is being conducted jointly by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, and Balochistan Police, combining ground operations with aerial support across rugged mountainous areas of the province.
Officials say the latest phase of the operation has pushed the reported militant death toll past 100, with forces continuing to target suspected hideouts and logistical networks.
Military and government leaders have described the campaign as part of a broader effort to restore stability and counter militant violence in the region following a series of attacks on security personnel and civilians.
Authorities say operations remain ongoing, with additional intelligence-based actions expected in the coming days as security forces continue efforts to dismantle militant networks operating in Balochistan.
As the operation continues, officials have pledged to maintain pressure on armed groups while strengthening security across the province to prevent further attacks and protect local communities.
