WOMEN IN DIPLOMACY DAY WAS CELEBRATED IN ISLAMABAD WITH A SPECIAL EVENT HOSTED BY SWEDEN'S AMBASSADOR TO PAKISTAN. Sharing moments from the gathering on social media, the ambassador thanked the remarkable women who came together to mark the occasion, describing them as policy makers, tech innovators, cultural icons, media personalities, and grassroots leaders.

The message highlighted that diplomacy is not limited to government offices alone. It is built on dialogue, diversity, and dedication, with women playing an increasingly important role in shaping societies and strengthening international relations.

Pakistan too has a proud history of women leadership on the global stage. From pioneering diplomats and parliamentarians to judges, entrepreneurs, academics, and peace advocates, Pakistani women have represented the country with distinction across the world.

Women such as Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto opened new doors in politics and diplomacy, while generations of female diplomats have advanced Pakistan's interests at international forums, the United Nations, and bilateral engagements worldwide.

Today, Pakistani women continue to contribute in diplomacy, technology, media, business, and public service, helping build bridges between nations and promoting Pakistan's image globally.

As the world marks Women in Diplomacy Day, the occasion serves as a reminder that empowering women is not only a matter of equality but also a key driver of peace, progress, and international cooperation.
