Narendra Modi and leaders of the United Arab Emirates have agreed on a new framework for a strategic defence partnership during Modi’s high-level visit to the Gulf nation.
The two sides also signed agreements covering strategic petroleum reserves and liquefied petroleum gas supplies as both countries seek closer cooperation amid growing regional tensions linked to the Iran conflict.
According to Ministry of External Affairs, the new partnership will expand collaboration in defence manufacturing, advanced technology, maritime security, cyber defence, military training, and intelligence sharing.
Officials say the agreements reflect a broader effort by India and the UAE to deepen strategic and economic ties during a period of uncertainty across the Middle East.
