Pakistan’s military says it carried out retaliatory strikes along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border following what it described as unprovoked aggression by Afghan Taliban forces and Fitna al-Khawarij militants.
According to security sources, operations are ongoing in the Chaman sector, with Pakistani forces continuing what they called full-scale action in response to cross-border threats.
Officials say multiple positions across the border were targeted, including locations identified as Sarshan, Al-Marjan, and Edhi posts, along with an Afghan vehicle and other installations.
Security sources claim the strikes resulted in the destruction of several enemy posts as part of the operation.
They added that the response was aimed at neutralizing threats and preventing further infiltration attempts into Pakistani territory.
The military says its forces remain fully committed to defending the country’s sovereignty and ensuring security along the border.
Officials emphasized that operations will continue until all designated objectives are achieved, under what has been described as Operation Ghazab Lil Haq.
The situation highlights ongoing tensions along the border region, where security challenges and militant activity remain a concern.
Authorities say monitoring and military operations will continue to ensure stability and prevent further escalation.
