During his engagements, Field Marshal Munir met separately with Foreign Minister Araghchi and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, both of whom were part of the Iranian delegation that recently held direct talks with the United States in Islamabad. Discussions focused on regional security, ongoing diplomatic efforts, and ways to sustain the fragile ceasefire between Iran and the United States.
Officials say the visit is part of Pakistan’s broader diplomatic initiative to transform the temporary two-week ceasefire into a long-term peace arrangement.
