Benjamin Netanyahu has urged citizens to strictly follow safety guidelines after a deadly missile strike hit a residential building in Haifa, highlighting growing concerns over civilian safety amid escalating tensions.
According to authorities, the missile directly struck a multi-storey building, causing significant damage and partial collapse. Emergency teams rushed to the scene as residents were trapped under debris, with rescue efforts continuing for hours.
Officials confirmed that four people were killed in the attack, including an elderly couple who were unable to reach shelter in time. Several others were injured, while many residents required treatment for shock.
Military sources said the projectile was identified as a ballistic missile, adding that it may have evaded air defence systems after separating mid-flight, leading to a tracking failure.
The strike is being described as one of the deadliest incidents in a major city since the conflict intensified, raising fears of further escalation.
Authorities continue to warn the public to remain alert and adhere to emergency instructions, as the broader situation across the region remains highly volatile and unpredictable
