Her first stop in Jeddah saw talks with Mohammed bin Salman, where discussions focused on Italy’s defensive support and the importance of diplomatic solutions to stabilize the region.
In Doha, Meloni met Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, with talks centered on energy cooperation and rebuilding infrastructure impacted by recent regional instability.
Her final visit to the United Arab Emirates included a meeting with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, where both sides discussed strengthening bilateral ties and ensuring support for Italian nationals in the region.
Meloni emphasized that instability in the Gulf has direct consequences for Italy, particularly in terms of energy prices, employment, and household costs.
