Pakistan’s top leadership has sent a clear and forceful message that the nation’s security sovereignty and territorial integrity are non‑negotiable as clashes along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border escalate into broader hostilities. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed that Pakistan will firmly respond to any act of aggression stressing that the people and the Armed Forces of Pakistan under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir are fully equipped trained and prepared to defend the homeland against any threat. He said Pakistan has always promoted peace but its integrity will never be compromised and every hostile act will be met with a resolute and befitting response from the nation’s forces. In a social media message President Asif Ali Zardari echoed those sentiments warning that Pakistan’s pursuit of peace should not be mistaken for weakness and that anyone who miscalculates will face a comprehensive reply. Defence Minister Khawaja Asif described the situation as ‘open war’ after unprovoked cross‑border actions saying Pakistan’s patience had run out and that the military is decisively countering threats. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned attacks on civilian populations as intolerable praising the armed forces’ professionalism and readiness while the National Assembly Speaker highlighted ongoing efforts to maintain regional stability. As tensions continue Islamabad’s message remains firm: peace is desired but Pakistan will defend its sovereign space at all costs with the entire nation standing shoulder to shoulder with its troops.
