Pakistan’s security forces have given an effective and forceful response to what Islamabad calls the Taliban regime’s unprovoked border action after repeated violations along the Pak‑Afghan frontier the Information Ministry said in a statement today. According to the ministry Pakistan’s troops responded with precision strikes against hostile elements that fired along the border without warning targeting defensive positions and provocations aimed at destabilising peace. The statement underlined that the military acted in self‑defence emphasising that the safety of Pakistan’s frontiers and citizens remains the government’s top priority. Islamabad says it has exercised restraint repeatedly but will not tolerate cross‑border aggression that threatens national security. The ministry also reaffirmed that Pakistan’s Armed Forces are professionally executing coordinated operations to safeguard territorial integrity and that all necessary steps will be taken to ensure stability along the Durand Line. As tensions persist the government stresses that its response is measured disciplined and aimed at deterring further incursions while encouraging diplomatic channels to prevent escalation. Pakistan continues to urge the Afghan side to respect international borders and cease actions that provoke conflict reinforcing that peace and stability in the region can only be achieved through mutual respect and adherence to agreed protocols.
