According to official figures the mosque welcomed nearly seven million visitors over the year including worshippers and tourists from across the globe. This marks a significant increase compared to previous years and highlights the site’s growing international appeal.
Authorities say more than one and a half million people visited the mosque specifically for prayers while millions of others explored its architecture cultural exhibitions and guided tours.
Foreign visitors accounted for the vast majority of guests with people traveling from Asia Europe the Americas and Africa reflecting the mosque’s role as a symbol of tolerance unity and Islamic heritage.
The mosque also saw a surge in visitors during Ramadan and Eid hosting large congregations and distributing millions of iftar meals as part of its humanitarian initiatives.
Officials credit improved visitor services expanded cultural programs and global tourism growth for the record-breaking numbers.
