Indian sports presenter Ridhima Pathak has finally addressed reports claiming she was dropped from the Bangladesh Premier League amid rising tensions between India and Bangladesh.


Speculation erupted after Bangladeshi media suggested the Bangladesh Cricket Board had removed Pathak from the BPL’s presenting panel linking the decision to ongoing diplomatic and cricket related disputes between the two countries.


Breaking her silence Ridhima Pathak took to social media to reject the claims saying she was not dropped from the tournament.


She clarified that the decision to step away from the BPL was entirely her own stressing that she chose to opt out voluntarily.


In her statement Pathak said that her country comes first and she could not continue amid the prevailing circumstances. She emphasized that truth matters and misleading narratives should be corrected.


The presenter highlighted her career in sports broadcasting saying she has always served the game with integrity honesty and respect and intends to continue doing so.
