Pakistan has successfully carried out a flight test of an indigenously developed air‑launched cruise missile marking a major step forward in the country’s defence capabilities.
The test involved the Taimoor cruise missile designed to strike both land and sea targets with precision at ranges of up to 600 kilometers. Its advanced navigation system allows it to fly at very low altitudes making it harder to detect and intercept and enhancing its operational effectiveness.
The missile was tested under controlled conditions reflecting the growing technical expertise of Pakistan’s defence industry. Senior officers scientists and engineers closely monitored the launch celebrating it as a major achievement in indigenous defence development.
Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu Chief of the Air Staff praised the dedication and professionalism of the teams involved noting that such advancements strengthen Pakistan’s conventional deterrence and national security.
The Taimoor cruise missile is part of broader efforts to enhance indigenous capabilities in aerospace and defence ensuring that Pakistan can respond effectively to evolving security challenges while reducing reliance on foreign technology.
