Pakistan and Jordan are moving to enhance their defence cooperation following high level talks in Rawalpindi between Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Major General Yousef Ahmed Al Huneiti Chairman of the Jordanian Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The meeting at Pakistan’s General Headquarters focused on matters of mutual interest and evolving regional security challenges with both sides exploring ways to deepen military and strategic collaboration. Field Marshal Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening defence ties with the Hashemite Kingdom emphasising the importance of working together to address shared security concerns.
The visiting Jordanian commander praised the professionalism and contributions of the Pakistan Armed Forces toward regional peace and stability reflecting growing respect and mutual confidence between the two militaries.
The talks concluded with a shared resolve to expand military to military engagement underscoring the long standing brotherly relations between Pakistan and Jordan.
