The United States has publicly thanked Pakistan for its offer to be considered for participation in a proposed International Stabilisation Force for Gaza a mission aimed at supporting peacebuilding and stability in the conflict affected territory.

U.S Secretary of State Marco Rubio told reporters that Washington is “very grateful” for Pakistan’s willingness to at least consider joining the mission emphasizing that no formal decision has yet been made regarding the deployment of Pakistani troops. He noted that the offer reflects Islamabad’s readiness to play a constructive role in international efforts to stabilize Gaza.

Rubio highlighted that key questions regarding the force’s mandate operational structure and funding still need to be resolved before any country can make a firm commitment. He added that multiple nations have shown interest in contributing personnel logistics and other support to the mission demonstrating broad international engagement.

Pakistan’s Foreign Office clarified that Islamabad has not yet taken a final decision and no formal request for troops has been received. Officials stressed that discussions are ongoing with the government carefully reviewing the proposed role and responsibilities before making any commitment.

As diplomatic talks continue Pakistan’s potential involvement in the Gaza stabilisation force remains closely watched by the international community with expectations that contributions from countries like Pakistan could play a critical role in maintaining peace delivering humanitarian support and strengthening long term stability in the region.
