The United States has carried out a major crackdown deporting 200 Indian nationals back to India including the notorious gangster Anmol Bishnoi two fugitives wanted in Punjab and 197 undocumented residents.

Anmol Bishnoi the younger brother of infamous gang leader Lawrence Bishnoi is wanted in multiple serious cases in India including the murder of former Indian minister Baba Siddique and a shooting incident outside Bollywood star Salman Khan’s residence.

Investigations reveal that Bishnoi escaped India in April 2022 using a fake passport and subsequently traveled between the U.S and Canada using forged Russian documents. During this period his elder brother Lawrence reportedly continued to run gang operations from abroad.

U.S authorities had arrested Anmol Bishnoi last year in California keeping him under electronic ankle monitor supervision. He was later taken into custody and deported from Louisiana to India.

According to Indian media the family of Baba Siddique had filed legal requests with U.S authorities who recently informed them of Bishnoi’s deportation. The family has now urged Indian authorities to ensure his immediate arrest upon arrival in Delhi.

This marks a significant step in international cooperation against organized crime and brings one of India’s most wanted criminals back to face justice.
